Tetra Pak is the world’s leading food pro­­­cessing and packaging solutions company. With over 20,000 employees in over 150 countries, the Swedish corporation man­­­ufactures around 158 billion packaging units every year. One of its major Eu­­ro­­­pean production facilities is located in Limburg. The 319 employees there pro­­­duce around 4.2 billion cartons every year.

“A packaging should save more than it costs,” is the motto of the man who found­­ed the company in the 1950s, Ruben Rau­­sing. It was an early commitment to cost-effectiveness, social responsibility and environmental friendliness that today still forms the basis of the company’s busi­­ness policy. The beverage cartons offer maxi­­mum product protection at minimum energy and material utilization; a process that is both cost-effective and environmen­­tally friendly. The cartons are pre­­dom­i­­nant­­ly made of the regenerative raw material of wood. Resource con­­ser­­vation and climate pro­­tection are Tetra Pak’s number one priorities. For example, the two Ger­­man production plants in Limburg and Berlin and the headquarters in Hoch­heim are al­­ready entirely hydro powered.

Tetra Pak’s slogan is: “Protects what’s good”. It expresses the fact that bev­­er­age cartons protect both the content and the environment.
