OptoTech Optikmaschinen GmbH is a modern, medium-sized machine building company with a strong interna­tional orientation. The company is based in Wettenberg near Gießen and was formed in 1985 by graduate engineer Roland Mandler. Our skills in the area of optical processing machinery combined with the latest processing technologies have made us one of the world’s leaders in optical machine building.

Our customers include almost all major manu­­facturers of precision optics and ophthal­mics, including Zeiss, Leica, Rodenstock, Nikon and Samsung. We offer them one of the world’s most com­­prehensive prod­uct ranges in optical machinery for pre­­cision optics and oph­­thalmics such as grinding and polishing machines, coating machines, measuring technology, software, tools and consum­ables for a broad range of applications in the optical production.

At its locations in Wettenberg, Jena, Etziken (Switzerland), Milan (Italy) and East Greenville (USA), OptoTech employs about 140 people, and with its agencies throughout the world and an export rate of more than 80 per cent of total sales, OptoTech is a genuine global player.
