NORDAKADEMIE Hochschule der Wirtschaft: The best young talents come from within

The name already hints at the practical orientation: “NORDAKADEMIE Hochschule der Wirtschaft.” The close interlocking of theory and practice is one of the main characteristics of these study programmes. During the dual bachelor programmes, practical phases in companies alternate with study phases at the university. This means the companies can recruit new talent from amongst their own ranks, who are directly available for demanding tasks after completing their education, without needing long training periods.

With more than 1,800 students, the NORDAKADEMIE, founded in 1992, is one of the largest private universities with attendance teaching in Germany. It currently cooperates with about 350 companies in all sectors, for example with Airbus, Allianz, Bauer Media Group, EDEKA, Lufthansa, the Otto Group or Philips. The “university of economy” offers four dual study Bachelor programmes as well as nine Master programmes for people studying alongside their work. In October 2013, the Graduate School was opened in Hamburg in the Dockland building. While the dual Bachelor programmes are still being offered in Elmshorn (target group: high school graduates), nine Master programmes are available on the campus in Hamburg, along with several further education modules and certificate programmes. Target group here: professionals who have their first university degree.
