Employees want to know that their retired family members are well looked after. The Wohlfahrtswerk für Baden-Württemberg welfare organisation uses a broad range of assistance measures for the aged in order to help family care givers to reconcile job and family. Care facilities and services in the Stuttgart and Neckar-Alb regions, southern Württemberg and northernBaden offer care in cases of dementia, assistance after a stay in hospital or daily life and care, whether at home, in day groups, retirement homes or care homes.
The Wohlfahrtswerk offers cooperation to employers who want to assist their employees in cases where family members need nursing or other care. Its services range from a telephone hotline through advisory services in companies through to arranging care and assistance services in selecting places in care homes. As a member in the German Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband (an umbrella social welfare organisation), the foundation is part of a nationwide network.
The Innovation award-winner works on integrating intelligent technology into processes and business models and takes part in research clusters. The in-house training centre in Stuttgart trains care workers and offers special courses for care workers recruited abroad.
