Volksbank Halle (Saale) eG: 100 per cent regionally based

With over 100,000 customers and 20,000 members, the Volksbank Halle (Halle Cooperative Bank) is one of the largest cooperative banks in eastern Germany. Among other things, it sees its job as implementing its cooperative promotional mission. Its focus is not on maximizing profits but on promoting and looking after its customers and members from a commercial point of view. The Volksbank Halle is part of the cooperative FinanceAssociation and, as an independent bank, is a competent partner in all personal financial matters for the people, companies and institutions in its territory. Besides entrepreneurial thinking, the Volksbank Halle combines commercial success with social responsibility. Its self-image also includes actively helping to solve social problems in the region. The Volksbank Halle assists sport, culture and education as well as promoting clubs and associations and non-profit organizations in its territory through donations and sponsorships as well as the transfer of know-how. The Volksbank Halle regards the marketing survey carried out in 2004 und 2007 by MF Consult – in which several firms were highly rated – as confirmation of its future direction.
