Four billion times a day, P&G brands touch the lives of people around the world. The company has one of the strongest portfolios of trusted, quality, leadership brands, including Pampers®, Ariel®, Always®, Pantene®, Pringles®, Lenor®, Oral-B®, Duracell®, Olaz®, Wella®, Gillette® and Braun®.

In Germany, Procter & Gamble is now based in 16 locations. About 1,000 em­­ployees are responsible for research and development at the German Inno­vation Centre (GIC). At Procter & Gamble locations in Hessen, some 5,600 employees work in research, development and marketing.

As part of its sustainability strategy, Procter & Gamble has announced a long-term ecological vision and the corresponding objectives for the year 2020. At the locations in Germany, all environ­mental pollution such as emissions, waste water and refuse, which develop in the manufacture and shipment of its products, will be recorded and continually reduced. The use of sustainable technologies such as photo­voltaics or heat recovery is playing a major role at present and will continue to do so in future. Even today, many P&G plants are already achieving a recycling quota of over 90 per cent.
