The Frankfurt Trade Fair is one of the world’s largest trade fair companies. The Group owns a worldwide network of 28 subsidiary companies, five offices and 52 international sales partners, giving it a presence in more than 150 countries. Events “made by Messe Frankfurt” (Frankfurt Trade Fair) are held at over 30 locations around the world. The Frankfurt Trade Fair yearly organizes over 90 trade fairs and exhibitions, including over 50 abroad.
The traditional core of the company is and will remain its Frankfurt location. The company is publicly owned, partners being the city of Frankfurt and the German state of Hessen, its home state. The Frankfurt Trade Fair employs over 1,770 people around the world. Every year, some 40 trade fairs and over 200 events and conferences take place in Frankfurt, including leading international sectoral trade fairs for the consumer goods industry such as Ambiente and Paperworld. Leading sectoral trade fairs in the textiles industry are Heimtextil, Techtextil, Texcare International; for automotive engineering it is the Automechanika; and for other technology-based sectors these are Light+Building, ISH, IFFA, Texprocess, Musikmesse and Prolight+Sound. Besides its own events, Frankfurt is an internationally well-known host location for other exhibitions. These include the Commercial Vehicles International Motor Show IAA-Pkw, the Book Fair and Achema.
