Landesentwicklungsgesellschaft Thüringen mbH (LEG): LEG offers a comprehensive range of services

Vigorous involvement in the development of the technology and business location of Thuringia – that’s what LEG, the State Development Corporation of Thuringia, stands for. LEG is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Free State situated in the center of Germany.
LEG has a number of high-profile goals aimed at promoting the state’s economic development: It assists companies in relocating to Thuringia and in creating new jobs, it provides attractive living space and an enhanced quality of life for Thuringia’s citizens, entrepreneurs and employees. Moreover, LEG works to unleash the state’s huge technology potential and to turn it into marketable products.
Thus, LEG promotes Thuringia as an investment location in Germany and abroad. It offers a full-service package to companies investing in the Free State, supports Thuringian businesses to enter foreign markets and is involved in the management of the various technology clusters. LEG purchases, develops and markets industrial and business locations focussing on an integrated location development. This ensures a productive collaboration of organizations, researchers and educational institutions on the sites. In addition, it develops attractive residential areas for Thuringian families and supports municipalities in urban redevelopment (see article on page 16).
