At the Martha-Maria Hospital in Halle-Dölau, the focus is on caring for people, that is on their physical and spiritual well-being. This is the reason why this modern hospital, situated in the middle of the countryside at the edge of Halle, is one of four clinics in Germany belonging to the Diakoniewerk Martha-Maria social welfare organization to operate with the slogan “Operation Humanity”. The employees of the organization’s eleven clinics and four institutes, which are part of the Diakonisches Werk Mitteldeutschland, offer attention and human warmth, the latest diagnostic work and comprehensive and competent medical treatment. Besides professional care, the patients also have access to an inter-disciplinary team of clergy, psychologists and social workers. Beyond the borders of Saxony-Anhalt, the Neurological Clinic and its certified Multiple-Sclerosis Centre is very well known. And its thorax surgery, pneumonology clinics and the prostate centre have also spread to outside Saxony-Anhalt. Young doctors gain vital practical experience at this teaching hospital of the University of Halle-Wittenberg. Modern patient and occupancy management ensures that patients at the Martha-Maria Hospital receive the best possible care.
