Kassenärztliche Vereinigung (KV) Thüringen Körperschaft des öffentlichen Rechts: Economic factor serving patients

More than 4,200 contractual physicians and psychotherapists ensure a local and high-quality outpatient care in Thuringia. Whether general practitioner and thus go-to person for all health issues or as highly specialised specialist physicians and psychotherapists – the members of the KV Thüringen are there for everybody in Thuringia. They practise in over 400 cities and municipalities – from urban centres to rural areas. The KV Thüringen ensures that it stays that way with promotion programmes funded by the physicians.

With nearly 12,000 employees, outpatient treatment is an important economic factor in Thuringia. It provides challenging work for young doctors and psychotherapists as well as for qualified medical staff. Many different options of professional activity create the right mix of individual responsibility and cooperation, be it in an own office or as an employee.

In the end, comprehensive medical care, including emergency services outside regular office hours, is an important location factor. We make Thuringia appealing for technical professionals by ensuring that they and their families have access to high-quality medical care throughout the state.
