Data processing for the Berlin administration began in 1969. Back then, punched paper tapes, magnetic tape and cash register systems dominated working life. When the Berlin Wall fell in 1990, the two data centres of the divided city of Berlin were united.
As public agency, the IT Service Centre Berlin (ITDZ Berlin) has been providing its myriad services to the Berlin administration since 2005. The focus is on consistent customer orientation, working performance chains and effective quality management.
With standardised infrastructure solutions, the ITDZ Berlin enables the entire information technology system of the State of Berlin to be systematically modernised and work efficiency improved. In doing so, the company never loses sight of IT security. The BSI certification according to ISO 27001 on the basis of basic IT security is impressive proof of this.
For its more than 550 employees, the ITDZ Berlin provides the perfect conditions for a good work-life balance. The sustainable human resources policies have been confirmed by the certificate “audit berufundfamilie” since 2010. This is the right way to attract and retain expert staff in a time of demographic change.
