With the opening of its new customer centre, the Agentur für Arbeit Hanau, the Hanau Job Centre, Hanau has available a modern service provider now. The reform shows the conversion of the construction after completion at first sight already. The resident employees receive customers directly in the newly designed open layout of the entrance area and the differing matters are resolved here immediately.

In addition, the Hanau Job Centre is linked to a Service Centre. It ensures availability by telephone from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. The special advantage the service centre, which is part of the Federal Employment Agency, has against common call centres consists in employees being specialists that on the whole were trained in Job Centres. Therefore the Service Centre is capable to give qualified information on the one hand, but on the other also to receive applications of job seekers so that within the entrance zone of the customer centre itself only the personal unemployment form must be processed.

Another advantage is that the Service Centre can arrange appointments. A customer is thus able to agree a fixed appointment with a placement officer already from home and does not have to wait in crowded halls any longer. In future, both the customer and the placement officer can prepare themselves concretely for the interview, thus the customer can be supported in an optimal way in his job search.
Particularly employers will receive noticeably better support through the introduction of the new customer centre. A fixed team of placement officers will exclusively deal with the concerns of employers. In this way contacts to Hanau’s employers can be improved considerably. Such closer cooperation will give room for greater consideration of company-specific specialities and therefore an optimal support for the exact placement of vacancies can be offered. Additionally, placement officers also provide consulting about possibilities of financial funds for the recruitment of personnel.

The services provided by the Hanau Job Centre also include cooperation agreements with different partners. Besides collaborating with the Hanau Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the District Chamber of Handicrafts with regard to the Hanau Careers Exhibition taking place every two years, the Hanau Job Centre also participates in the “Round Table for Work in the Main-Kinzig-District of the Evangelic Churches Gelnhausen, Hanau City and Hanau Region – Sponsorship Project”, with active support of the sponsors.Another example for partnership collaboration work is the information given by the Hanau Job Centre to potentially interested people at the Forum of Self-employment organised by the Hanau Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Department of Economic Development.
This summer, the Hanau Job Centre will expand its service provision further. By extending its opening hours on Thursdays until 6 p.m. job seekers that are still under contract and also employers have the opportunity to receive an appointment outside the currently usual business hours.
