Networking hub for many activities of the Upper Franconian economy. The main function of IGZ Bamberg is finding a home for start-up companies. At the start-up centre of the city and district of Bamberg, office units, production premises and storage spaces can be rented on entrepreneur-friendly terms. There are currently around 40 companies within the IGZ – a third of which operate in the field of IT and new technologies.
IGZ management establishes contacts between the start-up companies and the most important regional players. Managing Director Konrad Bastian sees clear advantages in the Upper Franconian network: “Together with our long-standing partners, we show companies within the IGZ, entrepreneurs and start-up companies, how to take advantage of strong networks so that they can seize the best opportunities for lasting development.”
IGZ Bamberg is a branch office within the IT cluster association of Upper Franconia and boasts more than 70 members. In this IT industry network, companies and institutions from Upper Franconia have joined together with the aim of increasing their productivity and creating secure jobs for the future. The IGZ also supports regional companies in a supplier-neutral and practically orientated way through the government-funded project entitled “eBusiness-Lotse Oberfranken”.
