Headquartered in Berlin, the Deutsche Kreditbank AG (DKB) was founded in 1990 and has been an important partner for companies and municipalities for more than 25 years. In the new federal states, its market penetration is particularly high for this business area. In the area of retail banking, DKB is one of the largest German direct banks. The DKB’s total assets account for more than EUR 73 billion. Over 80% of their assets is deployed in the form of loans. DKB is, for example, funding the construction of apartments adapted to the needs of families and the elderly, energy-efficient buildings, ambulatory and in-patient medical facilities as well as construction projects in schools and daycare centres. It also secures the agricultural sector’s ability to compete by investing in production conditions and bioenergy.
DKB has been funding several initiatives in the area of the specific renewable energies wind, solar and water since 1996, offering one of the broadest product portfolios in this area of business. Currently ranked the sole „Industry Leader“ by oekom research, the DKB got the best score (B-) in the rating of all German commercial and public banks.
