The Bauindustrieverband Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein e. V. is a voluntary association and represents the interests of industrial construction companies in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. The Bauindustrieverband Hamburg e. V. and the Bauindustrieverband Schleswig-Holstein e. V. merged on 22 December 2011. As laid down in the charter, the association supports its members in all matters relating to economic and professional issues or employment and social law.
The association is a member of the Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie (central association of the German construction industry) and the ARGE Bauindustrie Nord, an interest group of the construction associations of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony/Bremen and Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein. As a trade, employer and professional association, the Bauindustrieverband Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein e. V. represents the interests of its members and offers a variety of services.
In 2015, the association celebrated its 125th anniversary at the Elbe Tunnel in St. Pauli. Back in 1890, on 24 September, the association was founded as the first construction industry association, taking up a pioneering role in the geographic regions that it spans once again today.
