the company produced more than 1.15 million cars.
The company is active in more than 100 international markets and employs some 58,000 people worldwide, including about 13,800 in Neckarsulm – one of the oldest production locations for motor vehicles worldwide. With the models Audi launched recently the plant adds to the company’s success. Besides a record start with five models in 2010 – the Audi R8 Spyder, A8, A8L, A7 Sportback and the new A6 limousine – Neckarsulm stands for light automobile construction and engine development as a competence centre in the Audi Group.
With an eye to Neckarsulm as a good place to live in for future generations, Audi, the region’s largest employer, operates environmental protection and future-oriented personnel policies in order to help guarantee the future of this location. The Audi Forum is a communication platform and a location for factory tours, in which visitors can discover the roots of this development and production centre.
