In 2009, Amway celebrated its 50th anniversary as one of the world’s leading direct selling companies. The company’s European headquarters, employing 260 people, is in Puchheim near Munich. The Amway portfolio comprises some 450 cosmetics, wellness and household products, which are sold by 85,000 independent Amway sales representatives throughout Germany. Amway brands include, among others, the NUTRILITE™ food supplements, the ARTISTRY™ and beautycycle™ cosmetics series and the L.O.C.™ range of household cleaning products.
In-house research institutes guarantee the highest product quality. In addition, the company operates its own travel agency, Amway Travel.
As one of the top ten direct selling companies in Germany, Amway strives to professionalize the industry. To achieve this, Amway, for instance, initiated a certificate training course in cooperation with the education center of the chamber of industry and commerce Dresden, which is now being offered throughout Germany.
Corporate Citizenship is an integral part of the company strategy. Since 2003, more than 70 million US dollars have been raised for children through Amway’s global ONE by ONE™ Campaign for children. Amway employees and Independent Amway Business Owners have been supporting the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) through numerous projects since 2001.
